We've become a member of PAN Europe!

AS BIYOSIDER, WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE BECOME A MEMBER OF PAN EUROPE!

As the Biocidal Occupational and Environmental Health Association, our application submitted this year has been accepted, and we have joined the PAN Europe network. PAN Europe’s primary goals include protecting health and the environment; focusing on farmers, agricultural workers, rural residents, and children; supporting practices and laws that prioritize health and biodiversity; and working toward sustainable agriculture, healthy soils, clean water, and healthy food policies—our participation in this network, which brings together more than 50 consumer, public health, and environmental organizations from across Europe, will enhance our international impact and visibility, providing strength and direction to our work.

Who is PAN Europe?

We are a science-based organization composed of highly motivated toxicologists, legal experts, and campaigners. Our analyses, reports, and court cases influence EU policies and help protect health and biodiversity. Together with our members across all EU countries, we work to eliminate dependence on pesticides and promote alternatives that are in harmony with nature, rather than against it.

What is PAN Europe’s vision?

PAN Europe’s vision is a world where agricultural productivity is achieved through truly sustainable agricultural production systems—systems in which the use of agricultural chemicals and environmental damage are minimized, and local communities control local production by using local varieties. PAN Europe works to phase out hazardous pesticides in Europe, reduce dependence on pesticides, and promote ecologically sound alternatives to chemical pest control.

To realize this vision, PAN Europe engages in advocacy, policy analysis, networking, and campaign activities related to pesticides. It serves as a focal point for civil society advocacy and public participation in EU pesticide policy and works in close collaboration with representatives of the European Parliament, the Commission, and the Council to engage key decision-makers in the process of reducing the use of hazardous pesticides. Our initiatives also include collaboration with farmers, scientists, academics, retailers, and trade unions.
