We presented our association at the PAN Europe annual meeting

The PAN Europe (Pesticide Action Network Europe) annual review meeting was held in Zurich, Switzerland, on June 9–11, 2026. Assist. Prof. Dr. Burak Kurt, a member of our board of directors, attended the meeting on behalf of Türkiye, representing BİYOSİDER (Biocidal Occupational and Environmental Health Association).

On the first day, we visited FiBL (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture), one of the world’s leading scientific institutions in organic agriculture, and observed their work firsthand. On the second day, at the WWF Switzerland office, we gave an introductory presentation—as a newly joined association to PAN Europe—and shared information about the field studies and projects we are conducting in Turkey regarding pesticide use and farmer health.

At the meeting, we primarily discussed PAN Europe’s 2025 activities and 2026 calendar with NGO representatives from across Europe who are working toward the goal of “planetary health.” Most importantly, we strengthened our spirit of solidarity and looked to the future with hope. In short: “Toxic-free tables are possible—if we want them to be.”
